  • Listening/ reading
  • Writing
  • Non-verbal
  • Story telling

Verbal Communication

Verbal communication can be either face to face, over the phone or over video call. This is an effective way of communicating with others as it allows task and or problems to be solved quickly.

Listening and or Reading

Being involved in a conversation by listening to each word a person is saying or reading (from PowerPoint and or from a book.)

Written Communication

This can be done over email, text message or letter. This can be effective however a slower way of communicating. Everything that is being said is down on paper and can’t be taken back once sent, SO BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WRITE.

Non-Verbal Communication

This includes facial expressions, hand signals and body language. Most people will be able to notice if you are not interested in what they are saying or doing just by looking at your body language, for example, try not to sit crossed armed or on your phone if you are generally intrigued as some will take this as a sign that you can not be bothered and therefore will not acknowledge your opinions.

Story Telling

Story Telling can be a good way to get a person interested in what your talking about, telling it like a story can make any conversation more interesting and realistic. This means if you are trying to change the opinion of others, creating a story like experience can intrigue the listener/reader to find out more with the opportunity to give across their own ideas and thoughts.
